Students
The capstone course to CMC’s public policy major is Econ/Gov 100 “Policy Lab.” This course is team taught by government and economics faculty, in collaboration with a policy professional, and is focused on policy research and writing. Students learn the essentials of policy writing, become excellent consumers of social science, and apply research methods to real-world policy projects. Our experiential learning approach accelerates student learning by bringing professional data-driven policy research into the classroom.
Lab Managers are hired from previous classes, and represent some of our most talented policy students. They assist in classroom and work with affiliated faculty on policy projects. In addition to the Policy Lab course, we have many students working with faculty and partners on policy projects throughout the year.
Students interested in enrolling in the Policy Lab course, or working as research assistants, please contact Prof. Courser.
