Liz Biskar is the Assistant Director of the Policy Lab at Claremont McKenna College. Prior to joining, Liz worked for the Massachusetts Department of Transportation (MassDOT) in the Office of Transportation Secretary Stephanie Pollack and later the Acting Transportation Secretary Jamey Tesler. At MassDOT, Liz helped develop and implement a variety of transportation policies and programs, including the pandemic-response Shared Streets and Spaces Grant Program and a new state-wide Speed Management policy. In addition to her experience working in state government, Liz worked for nearly a decade in non-governmental organizations on issues such as human rights and early education.
Liz holds a Master of Public Policy with a concentration in Urban Studies from Northeastern University, and a Bachelor’s in Political Science from the University of Washington.
